STEVEN L. LAZARUS, AIA, is a graduate of Cornell University and
Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Planning. A principal
at Lazarus and Sargeant, he has extensive experience in project management;
restoration and renovation work; and educational and commercial facilities.
Recent projects include intergenerational/day care facilities, the Prospect Senior
Center, Meriden Unitarian Church, the Wallingford Credit Union, space planning/alterations
at Choate Rosemary Hall, and Wallingford Facade Revitalization.
SAMUEL C. SARGEANT, AIA, is a graduate of the University of Waterloo,
School of Architecture, Canada. He has worked on projects in New York, London and Chicago
including extensive involvement in the preliminary design of 500 Wacker Drive Corporate Tower
in Chicago. As a principal at Lazarus and Sargeant, he has designed and administered construction
of numerous office buildings, school facilities, commercial and residential projects.
He specializes in urban design, site planning, facilities planning and the design of large
projects. Presently, he is working on two large, mixed-use projects. He is a co-founder
and past president of Habitat for Humanity of the Wallingford Region and has served on the
Wallingford Affordable Housing Partnership.
DAVID M. MANCUSO, AIA, studied architecture, civil engineering, and mechanical
engineering at Hartford State Technical College. As a partner at Lazarus and Sargeant, he
has been involved in all phases of numerous municipal and commercial projects with emphasis
on fine residential architecture. He excels at recreating the essential grace and the fine
detailing of Classical architecture in homes crafted for today's modern living.
